About The Position

The Paving Laborer is responsible for performing various tasks to aid daily operations at a construction site. This role requires physical strength, concentration, and the ability to operate tools and equipment safely. The position may involve travel to remote job sites and requires adherence to company policies.

Requirements

Must have at least 2 years of relevant experience.
Must be able to concentrate on tasks for extended periods of time.
The ability to understand and communicate information.
Must have a valid driver’s license.
Must be able to do basic math
Must be able to safely operate hand and power tools.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Lift heavy loads up to and exceeding 70 pounds.
Identify utility lines.
Perform setup and cleanup tasks at job site.
Direct traffic when necessary to ensure safety of pedestrians, motorists and work crew which requires standing in one place for long periods of time.
Backfill trenches and pit when necessary.
Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site daily.
Shovel materials to and from construction areas, including asphalt dirt and concrete.
Operate a variety of hand and power tools.
Remove and properly dispose of debris and waste materials.
Travel to work on remote job sites as directed by management.
