Requirements

5+ years of asphalt paving or heavy highway construction experience.
Previous experience as a Paving Foreman, Lead Person, General Foreman, or equivalent leadership role.
Strong understanding of: Asphalt paving operations, Milling operations, Roadway reconstruction, Asphalt placement and compaction, Production scheduling, Traffic control and work zone safety
Ability to lead crews in a fast-paced environment.
Experience operating or working alongside paving equipment is highly preferred.
Ability to read construction plans and specifications.
Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

Perform daily jobsite safety meetings and enforce company safety standards.
Supervise daily milling and asphalt paving operations on heavy civil construction projects.
Lead and coordinate paving crew to safely meet production goals.
Plan daily work assignments and ensure crews have the equipment and materials needed.
Coordinate with Superintendents, Project Managers, truck dispatch, subcontractors, and plant personnel.
Monitor paving quality, grade, smoothness, and compaction to meet project specifications.
Assist with scheduling equipment, trucking, and manpower.
Read plans, grades, and project specifications.
Identify and solve field issues while maintaining productivity.
Train and mentor crew members while promoting teamwork and accountability.
