About The Position
Our client is a well-established, Eastern Shore-based contractor with a strong reputation in paving operations across Maryland’s Eastern Shore and parts of Delaware. They are seeking a hands-on Paving Foreman to lead field crews and drive high-quality asphalt production. This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently commuting off the Shore who is looking to maintain strong compensation while significantly improving work-life balance.
Requirements
- Proven experience running hot mix asphalt paving crews
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate field teams
- Hands-on mindset — willing to work alongside the crew, not just supervise
- Ability to perform in fast-paced, production-focused environments
- Stable work history with demonstrated reliability and consistency
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage daily operations of paving crews (typically 5–10+ team members)
- Oversee hot mix asphalt installation in a fast-paced, production-driven environment
- Coordinate crew activities in real-time as trucks arrive and paving progresses
- Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to quality standards
- Communicate effectively with the Superintendent and broader field team
- Maintain accountability for crew performance, timing, and job site execution
