Pavement Marking - CDL A or B
About The Position
TRP Construction Group, LLC is seeking a skilled Pavement Marking CDL A or B Driver to join its highway striping team. The role supports road safety by transporting the crew and equipment to job sites and helping install pavement markings, including thermoplastic and waterborne paint. The driver operates company vehicles and pavement-marking equipment, completes vehicle inspections and related documentation, and maintains equipment and vehicle cleanliness and safe loading. Work is outdoors in varying weather conditions and may require flexible hours, nights, weekends, overtime, and travel. Employment is contingent on passing a background check, motor vehicle record review, and controlled-substance testing.
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A or B license with a clean driving record.
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards.
- Ability to read and understand work orders and maps, and perform basic arithmetic.
- Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly and occasionally handle heavier loads.
- Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods.
- Ability to pass a background check, motor vehicle record review, and drug screening.
- Willingness to work overtime and travel as needed.
Nice To Haves
- Experience operating heavy trucks and/or pavement-marking equipment.
Responsibilities
- Work with the highway striping crew to install thermoplastic, waterborne paint, and other pavement-marking materials.
- Operate pavement-marking equipment, including airless paint machines, thermoplastic hand liners, and grinders.
- Operate company vehicles safely and efficiently in compliance with DOT regulations and company standards.
- Transport pavement-marking equipment and crew to and from job sites.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and complete related documentation.
- Assist with setting up and operating pavement-marking equipment as needed.
- Maintain equipment and vehicle cleanliness and ensure proper loading.
- Follow safety policies and procedures on the road and at job sites.
