About The Position

Join Appell Striping of North Jersey as a Pavement Maintenance Technician and take charge of dynamic pavement maintenance projects in North Jersey. We are looking for a part-time technician to join a dedicated team that prides itself on delivering high-quality line striping, sealcoating, and asphalt repair services to enhance the safety and aesthetics of our commercial and industrial customers.

Requirements

Proven experience in the pavement maintenance field including line striping, sealcoating, crack filling and asphalt repair; 3+ years of experience strongly preferred.
Valid driver's license; with a clean driving history.
Willingness to travel as some jobs may require 1-2+ hours of drive time for several days in a row.
Willingness to work non-standard hours as many customers require work be completed before they open or after they close.
Knowledge of pavement marking materials, equipment, and application techniques.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to read site plans to correctly execute a new layout for a parking lot or parking garage.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

Deliver our pavement maintenance services including line striping, sealcoating, crack filling, and asphalt repair to our commercial customers.
Oversee and deliver the application of pavement marking materials and techniques to ensure quality results.
Conduct site assessments, estimates, and prepare work plans for efficient project completion.
Maintain equipment and tools, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
Collaborate with team members on best practices and safety protocols.
Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide exceptional service.
Monitor project timelines and budgets, ensuring adherence to schedules.
Implement safety measures and ensure compliance with industry and local regulations.
