About The Position

WQS Non-Destructive Testing (WQS NDT) is currently seeking an experienced PAUT / TOFD Technician to join our growing operations in British Columbia. The schedule is variable based on operational requirements, and candidates must be available to support call-out work, fabrication, projects, and turnaround activities. Candidates must be local to the Lower Mainland to support operations in the Burnaby area. Willingness to travel throughout British Columbia and Western Canada for project and turnaround work is required.

Requirements

  • PAUT Level II or Level III certification (BINDT, PCN, or equivalent preferred).
  • TOFD Level II or Level III certification (BINDT, PCN, or equivalent preferred).
  • Minimum three (3) years of practical PAUT inspection experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of NDT procedures, inspection techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Valid Class 5 driver's licence with a current three-year driver's abstract.
  • Local to the Lower Mainland to support operations in the Burnaby area.
  • Willingness to travel throughout British Columbia and Western Canada for project and turnaround work.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with corrosion mapping techniques, including FlexoFORM™ and HydroFORM®.
  • Pipeline integrity inspection experience.
  • Additional certifications in MT, PT, RT, XRF, CWB, or other NDT methods.
  • First Aid and Confined Space certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform PAUT and TOFD inspections.
  • Conduct corrosion mapping techniques.
  • Perform pipeline integrity inspections.
  • Deliver high-quality inspection services.
  • Maintain Fit for Duty status and comply with the Canadian Model for Providing a Safe Workplace, including alcohol and drug testing requirements.
  • Support call-out work, fabrication, projects, and turnaround activities.
