About The Position

Charter Casting is seeking motivated individuals to join their team as a Pattern Maker. This is a hands-on manufacturing role where you will complete work order requests to build or repair tooling according to stated requirements using blueprints or other written instructions. You will read blueprints and follow exact specifications when creating a pattern, operate the necessary machinery for pattern creation, and shape pieces of the casting to create a final product. You will also follow written instructions for rigging core boxes for core making lines and mount and gating patterns for molding lines. Precision measurement instruments will be used to ensure work produced meets requirements.

Requirements

Basic machining skills with drill press, band saws, measuring tools
Ability to use precision measuring devices.
Basic math skills.
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Team player - works well with others.
Ability to follow instructions and has attention to detail
Basic problem-solving and reading skills
Mechanical aptitude
Strong communication skills - written and oral

Nice To Haves

Experience with hand tools, grinders and welding capability.
