About The Position
Sentara Obici Hospital is hiring a Full-Time Evening Patient Transporter with a rotating schedule from 3 PM to 11 PM. The role involves safely escorting and transporting patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics. The transporter must strictly adhere to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara, communicate clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients, and ensure adequate communication of information between central transport and other departments.
Requirements
- HS Diploma or Equivalent
- One year of healthcare or customer service experience (Preferred)
Responsibilities
- Safely escorts and transports patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics.
- Strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara.
- Communicates clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients.
- Ensures adequate communication of information between central transport and other departments.
