Safely and efficiently transport patients from front door of pickup address to front door of various diagnostic or treatment areas. Ensure the comfort and well-being of patients during transportation, addressing their concerns and providing reassurance when needed. Assist patients with mobility challenges, such as those using wheelchairs, or other mobility aids. Maintain clear and professional communication with patients, their families, and healthcare staff to coordinate patient transportation needs effectively. Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control measures while transporting patients, including the use of appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE). Perform routine checks and maintenance on patient transportation equipment to ensure it is in safe and working condition. Maintain accurate records of patient transports, including patient information, destination, and time of transportation. Be prepared to respond to emergency situations and follow established protocols to ensure patient safety during crises. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals and staff to ensure the smooth flow of patient transport services. Uphold a professional demeanor and always maintain patient confidentiality. As assigned. Cooperates fully in all Risk Management, Quality Management, and Safety Activities and Investigations. Must be willing to obtain: Basic first aid and CPR certification. Passenger Assist Wheelchair secure The role involves a combination of standing, walking, and physically assisting patients.
