About The Position
Saint Luke’s Hospital at the Plaza is seeking a Patient Transporter to join their team. The Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter who will move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons, through manual or computerized job assignments.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross certification.

- Recognizes when they need to ask for help or continued guidance.
Responsibilities
- Move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital.
- Utilize infection prevention techniques and patient transfer techniques.
- Assure patients are safely and efficiently moved.
- Communicate effectively with nursing clinical staff.
- Maintain and protect the integrity of patients' tubes, lines, and collection devices.
- Move patient valuables and equipment.
