Patient Transport is an integral part of the Clinical Care Operations department which supports the patient flow and placement throughout this facility. We focus on our staff and empowering them to be engaged in the work that we do for our patients. This assignment will report directly to the CCO/Transport team at Banner Baywood Medical Center. Hours and shift availability will vary. As a Patient Transporter at Banner Baywood Medical Center, you will play a vital role in the safety of our patients by assisting nurses with moving/transporting patients throughout the facility with various equipment, including wheelchairs and stretchers. In addition to transporting patients, your responsibilities will include transporting specimens to the lab, and equipment as needed to its rightful place. You will be joining our very energetic, engaged, and customer service focused Clinical Care Operations (CCO) team that we like to call family! Transporters are constantly on the move in this fast-paced environment. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required (must meet AHA curriculum guidelines). Banner Staffing Services (BSS) offers Registry/Per Diem opportunities within Banner Health. Registry/Per Diem positions are utilized as needed within our facilities. This position transports patients and distributes requested items as needed throughout the facility in accordance with department/facility policies, procedures and protocols.
