About The Position
Sant Barbara Cottage Hospital seeks a Patient Transporter for their SBCH Central Transportation department responsible for providing transport for patients, equipment, supplies, and other miscellaneous materials. Performs duties aimed to enhance the comfort and safety of our patients.
Requirements
- Minimum: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Minimum: Ability to utilize e-mail, cell phones, and pagers.
Nice To Haves
- 1 year or longer transporting patients by gurney, wheelchair or equivalent hands on experience obtained in hospital's set up patient care.
Responsibilities
- Performs patient transporter duties transporting patients to assigned rooms or to areas of the hospital as required for treatment and procedures.
- Through the use of electronic Tele-Tracking program; responds immediately to requests in the time frame allowed by the situation.
