About The Position

This role is responsible for moving patients via wheelchair, stretcher, or bed, often managing complex attachments like oxygen tanks, IV pumps, and monitors. The transporter will also assist patients in and out of vehicles and between beds and transport devices using proper body mechanics. Additionally, the role involves delivering medical equipment and lab specimens to the correct departments to ensure testing and treatments stay on schedule, requiring sensitivity and respect when handling delicate tasks.

Requirements

BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.
