About The Position

Join Our Team as a Patient Transporter – Where Every Day is an Adventure! Do you enjoy helping people and making a real difference in their day? Are you ready to keep things moving with a smile? We’re looking for a Patient Transporter to help ensure our patients and visitors get where they need to go – with care, speed, and a lot of heart!

Requirements

• BLS Certified: Must complete a recognized BLS (Basic Life Support) course and keep certification up to date.
• Communication Skills: Ability to communicate well with patients, doctors, and staff.
• Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds without assistance.
• Must be on feet, walking and moving all day long.
• Will complete training for key skills like oxygen transport, customer service, equipment maintenance, and Code Blue procedures.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completed a medical terminology course.
• Experience in a hospital setting.
• Experience with patient transport and equipment care.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients, visitors, specimens, and equipment all around the hospital for admissions, transfers, or discharges.
• Greet and assist patients and visitors, offering a comforting word or friendly smile.
• Respond to emergency situations with training to keep everything running smoothly.
• Work closely with doctors, nurses, and staff to ensure patients are safely moved and to make the experience as comfortable as possible.
