About The Position

Founded in 1975 as Hospital Housekeeping Systems, today HHS provides services including housekeeping, food, and facility management to nearly 1,000 customers across six industries, including aviation, government, healthcare, education, senior living, and resorts across the U.S. The Patient Transporter role involves transporting patients and patient equipment throughout the hospital, providing excellent service to support a safe and comfortable healing environment.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old
Communicate effectively in English and work well in a team environment
Must practice good personal hygiene, be neatly groomed, and be in uniform
CPR certified (American Heart Association), or required to obtain certification with HHS
GED or high school diploma
Applicants must pass a background check, drug screen, and provide proof of employment eligibility in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

Patient transportation experience (cleaning, environmental services, custodian, janitorial, healthcare, patient care, equipment maintenance)

Responsibilities

Transport patients in wheelchairs, hospital beds, or on stretchers
Work as a team with nursing, medical staff, and other hospital departments to achieve excellent patient satisfaction
Practice cooperation, patience, excellent communication, and a willingness to work as a team
Clean and disinfect patient transport equipment to ensure patient safety
Follow all HHS and regulatory procedures and best practices
Assist team members and management as needed to help the department operate efficiently
