Patient Transporter - Evenings
About The Position
Saint Luke’s Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter to join their team. The Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter who will move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons, through manual or computerized job assignments. This role requires good communication with nursing clinical staff, utilization of infection prevention and patient transfer techniques, and knowledge of appropriate routes to ensure patients are safely and efficiently moved. The transporter will also move patient valuables and equipment, and must maintain the integrity of patients' tubes, lines, and collection devices. They should also recognize when to ask for help or continued guidance.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross certification.
Responsibilities
