About The Position

The Patient Transporter is an integral member of the patient care team, providing prompt, courteous, customer-focused service to patients, visitors, and coworkers at Boston Medical Center. The role is responsible for transporting patients within the hospital and performing miscellaneous functions. The Patient Transporter contributes to service excellence by fostering collaboration among and between team members and other ancillary departments. This is a per-diem, first-shift position, as needed, and is not benefit eligible.

Requirements

• High school diploma or G.E.D. equivalent.
• BLS/CPR certification required.
• Ability to read, write, and communicate in English.
• Ability to lift without any limitations.

• Previous hospital experience preferred.
