Patient Transporter - Evenings
About The Position
Saint Luke’s Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter to join their team. The Service Associate functions as a Patient Transporter who will move patients by wheelchair or car throughout the hospital for various reasons, through manual or computerized job assignments. This role requires the use of infection prevention techniques, patient transfer techniques, and knowledge of appropriate routes to ensure patients are safely and efficiently moved. Good communication with nursing clinical staff is essential. The role also involves moving patient valuables and equipment, and participating in weekend and holiday rotations.
Requirements
- Less than 1 year of applicable experience.
- Must be able to work the exact schedule: Week 1 M-W, F/Sa 12-2030 - Week 2 Su,Tu-F 12-2030.
- Ability to maintain and protect the integrity of patient’s tubes, lines, and collection devices.
Responsibilities
