About The Position

Northwest Community Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter for evening shifts. This full-time position involves the safe and efficient physical transport of patients within the hospital, including admission and discharge transports, and transports to and from diagnostic testing departments. The role may also require transporting equipment and supplies to support the department and hospital's mission.

Requirements

High School Diploma or GED
CPR BLS (American Heart Association healthcare provider) within 3 months of hire
AED training within 3 months of hire
Interpersonal skills to effectively interact with patients, families, nursing staff, and physicians
Verbal and written English skills for clear communication
Organizational skills to prioritize and complete transport tasks in a timely manner
Ability to use and apply correct body mechanics when positioning and transporting patients
