About The Position

University of Iowa Health Care department of Guest Services is seeking a Patient Transporter & Night Shuttle Driver. This position will be 70% with a primary schedule of Monday-Friday 3:50p.m. to 9:30p.m. Under general supervision, meets, greets, assists, and transports patients and visitors to and from various locations within UI Health Care. Utilize various modes of transportation including wheelchairs, patient beds, and carts. Collect and deliver wheelchairs in assigned areas. Safely and professionally transport UI Health Care staff to designated parking lots via the Night Shuttle Service.

Requirements

  • Ability to read, write and follow instructions.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and meet University’s Fleet Safety Program.
  • University Driving Policy.

  • Follow all safety guidelines detailed in the BE GOLD compliance, and all Iowa DOT rules and regulations.
  • Drive a passenger van for several hours at a time, providing Night Shuttle Service for UI Health Care staff to designated staff parking lots.
  • Perform other projects and duties as assigned.
