About The Position

Transports patients to and from clinical, ancillary, and support areas using a wheelchair, stretcher, cart, or bed as requested. This includes transporting patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, and other special equipment. With assistance, transfers patients to or from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers as needed. During discharge, assists patients in and out of vehicles.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.

Nice To Haves

• Previous patient transport experience is preferred; candidates may be trained.

Responsibilities

• Transport patients with oxygen tanks, intravenous pumps, drips, and other special equipment.
• With assistance, transfer patients to or from beds, wheelchairs, or stretchers as needed.
• Assist patients in and out of vehicles during discharge.
