Requirements

  • High School education or equivalent
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) training and certification (provided by Geneva General Hospital)
  • Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training (provided by Geneva General Hospital)

  • Customer Service experience in a healthcare setting

Responsibilities

  • Provides safe transportation for patients using various modes, such as wheelchairs, and stretchers.
  • Assists nursing personnel with transporting medically complex patients to ensure safe and continuous monitoring.
  • Transports patients utilizing infection prevention practices as appropriate.
  • Responds to calls in a timely manner.
  • Promptly communicates any delays to appropriate area.
  • Utilizes established communication tools such as the Ticket to Ride.
  • Performs non-routine work assignments as assigned by Nurse Manager or Clinical Leader.
  • Assists customer in locating various departments.
  • Displays a warm and welcoming demeanor to patients and families.
  • Prioritizes requests and communicates expected response times.
  • Plans work and routes taken in order to maximize efficiency.
