About The Position

Cabell Huntington Hospital seeks a casual, as needed Patient Transfer Coordinator to work in our Patient Transfer Center. The Patient Transfer Coordinator will be responsible for, upon physician approval: Arranging and facilitating all facets of patient transfers into Cabell Huntington Hospital. Additionally, they will assist with the transfer of patient from the facility. In an effort to provide exceptional customer service, the Patient Transfer Coordinator will provide daily follow-up on patients referred to Cabell Huntington. The coordinator will also work with the Director of Business Development to assist with marketing efforts to hospitals in the region.

Requirements

• Emergency and/or critical care nursing experience with a clear understanding of appropriate patient triage.
• Appreciation of the importance of utilization review and/or quality assurance related activities.
• Basic computer operation/keyboard experience.
• Proven history of excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Active, unrestricted registered nurse license in West Virginia.
• Minimum of three years experience in critical care and/or emergency nursing.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Emergency Nurse and/or Critical Care Registered Nurse credentials.
• ACLS, BTLS/PHTLS, PALS/PEPP credentials.
• Bachelor' degree or higher.
• Proven history of excellent customer service.

Responsibilities
