Perform routine assistive tasks to assist the Registered Nurse to meet basic patient needs, as unlicensed assistive personnel. This position is bonus eligible. Accountabilities include assisting patients with needs associated with personal hygiene (bathing, washing hair, brushing teeth and hair, washing hands), nutrition and feeding (assisting with feeding, drinking, setting up meal trays), ambulation (dangling, walking, walking with assistive device, implementing fall prevention measures), and elimination (assisting with bathroom, bedside commode, bedpan, urinal). Accurately monitors inputs and outputs and completes and documents patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, heart rate, and oxygenation. Reports abnormal values to the registered nurse.
