About The Position
The Patient Support Assistant provides direct patient care and support services within the Emergency Department. This role is crucial for ensuring patient comfort, safety, and efficient workflow. The position requires flexibility with shifts, including weekends and holidays, and operates on a PRN (as needed) basis.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED/HSE accredited by the State Board of Education.
- CPR certification.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of medical terminology.
- Computer skills.
- Successful completion of a course on arrhythmia detection.
- CNA license.
- Experience as a certified nursing assistant.
- Other medical office experience.
- Experience in a hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care and support services in the Emergency Department.
- Ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Assist with patient flow and departmental efficiency.
- Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays, as required by the PRN schedule.
Benefits
- PRN rate is $18.75/hr
