About The Position

First Choice Nurses is currently seeking dependable and compassionate Patient Sitters to provide one-on-one observation and support for patients in a hospital setting. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced healthcare professionals who are committed to patient safety and quality care.

Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of experience as a: Patient Sitter Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Patient Care Assistant (PCA)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Strong communication and observation skills
• Varicella (Chickenpox) vaccination record or positive titer
• MMR (Measles, Mumps, Rubella) vaccination record or positive titer
• QuantiFERON Gold or T-SPOT TB test completed within the past year
• Physical examination completed within the past year

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous observation of assigned patients
• Maintain a safe environment and report changes in patient behavior or condition
• Assist nursing staff with non-clinical patient support tasks as directed
• Help prevent falls, wandering, and other safety risks
• Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times
• Accurately document observations per facility guidelines
