About The Position
Provides assistance to the department clinical staff by monitoring and providing documentation of patients requiring direct visual observation. This role involves observing and documenting patient conditions, redirecting patient behavior to ensure safety, engaging patients in diversion activities, and assisting unit staff with various tasks including stocking. The position also includes performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Current Healthcare Provider BLS certification by date of hire
Nice To Haves
- 6 months recent experience in a health care setting
- Customer service experience
- Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
- Behavioral health experience
Responsibilities
- Provides observation and documentation for patients requiring direct and indirect visual observation related to medical and/or behavioral conditions.
- Redirects patient behavior as needed to promote patient safety.
- Engages patient in diversion activities as needed.
- Provides assistance to the unit assigned at the direction of clinical staff.
- Assists with stocking of department.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
