Deaconess Illinois is seeking caring, attentive individuals to join our team as a Patient Sitter. In this important role, you'll provide one-on-one support and observation for patients who need additional assistance to ensure their safety, comfort, and well-being. As a Patient Sitter, you'll play a vital role in the patient care experience by offering companionship, maintaining a safe environment, and serving as an extra layer of support for both patients and the healthcare team. This is a rewarding opportunity for individuals who enjoy helping others and are interested in gaining valuable healthcare experience.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous healthcare experience is welcomed but not required. We are willing to train compassionate, dependable individuals who are eager to learn.
- Current Illinois Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide continuous observation and support for patients requiring close monitoring.
- Help maintain a safe, calm, and comfortable environment.
- Report changes in patient condition or behavior promptly to nursing staff.
- Preserve patient dignity, privacy, and respect at all times.
- Work closely with nurses and healthcare professionals to enhance patient outcomes and safety.
