This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of operations in a correctional facility medical clinic. Employees serve as primary contacts for patients and are responsible for preparing necessary paperwork before patient visits, receiving patients, and maintaining records. In addition, this position may be responsible for coordinating other clinic services, responding to requests for patient information, and maintaining related information for the department. Employees in this classification receive general supervision. Most work is performed according to established procedures; problems of an unusual nature are referred to a supervisor. Work is performed in a medical clinic setting in a correctional facility and may require a high degree of contact with patients, facility staff, and other partners. You'll coordinate timely appointment notifications for patients and facility partners by following established policies, procedures, and workflows and utilizing designated communication systems and tools. You'll review and validate patient records before scheduled appointments to ensure required documentation is complete, accurate, and available for efficient service delivery. You'll research, coordinate, and resolve customer service inquiries, requests, and operational issues, ensuring a positive experience while adhering to departmental procedures and quality standards. You'll maintain a high standard of accuracy, professionalism, and productivity by completing assigned responsibilities within established service and turnaround expectations.
