About The Position

The Patient Services Representative (PSR) is the first point of contact for patients and plays a key role in creating a welcoming, supportive clinic experience. This position supports the clinical care team through excellent customer service, accurate scheduling, and efficient administrative operations.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 2–3 years healthcare front office experience
  • Strong customer service background
  • Multi-line phone system experience
  • Intermediate computer skills; 45+ WPM typing
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality under HIPAA
  • Athena or other EMR experience

Responsibilities

  • Welcome and direct patients and visitors with professionalism.
  • Resolve issues promptly and maintain a positive patient experience.
  • Schedule appointments and maintain accurate patient records.
  • Complete reminder calls, emails, and other outreach tasks.
  • Answer high-volume, multi-line calls using urgent/emergent protocols.
  • Verify eligibility, collect copays, and coordinate with insurers.
  • Process payments at time of service.
  • Perform general office duties and maintain supply inventory.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA and clinic safety policies.
