Requirements

High school diploma or GED required.
1 year of experience in clerical/administrative functions required: medical office, or healthcare ideally.
Must have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Bilingual English/Spanish required

Nice To Haves

Proficiency with computers and electronic medical records is a plus.

Responsibilities

Greet and assist patients in a professional and friendly manner.
Schedule appointments and reschedule no shows appointments
Verify insurance information through managed care website.
Register patients, assigned PCP (when applicable), check and maintain accurate demographic information, updates information as.
Answer incoming phone calls, respond to patient inquiries and take messages for providers.
Collect co-pays and process payments as needed.
Maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
Helps to maintain charts and provide administrative support to the department.
Collaborate with providers and clinical staff to ensure excellent patient care.
