About The Position

Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Patient Access Representative for Pre-registration. This position is Full-time day! The Patient Access Representative is the first line of quality service to our patients and our guests. This position serves as the ambassador of service, setting the standard. This position greets customers and subsequently provides the highest level of customer service possible.

Requirements

Minimum of 2 years experience working in patient access, preferably a fast-paced healthcare environment
High School Diploma (Equivalent) or Higher
Hold Insurance verification and healthcare scheduling experience
Experience working with managed care health plans
Bilingual English/Spanish Preferred
Experience working with managed care health plans
Excellent patient registration skills
Excellent customer service and telephone etiquette required
Solid knowledge of medical terminology
Proficient computer skills; internet, typing, data entry

Responsibilities

Ensure timely and accurate registrations
Schedule patients for appointments
Complete benefit verification
Provide patient education regarding benefits information
Scan, Fax and work on appropriate authorizations
Provide referrals for services
