About The Position

As a Patient Services Representative II at OrthoAtlanta, you’ll greet patients warmly, check them in and out, and assist with questions about appointments, insurance, or procedures. You will collect co-pays, prepayments, and outstanding balances accurately, while explaining financial policies as needed. You will schedule new and follow-up appointments, answer incoming calls, and ensure timely patient communication and follow-up. You will input and update patient demographics, case injury information, insurance details, and referrals into the EMR system. You will also open and close the front office, maintain a clean and organized waiting area, and monitor appointment reschedules or cancellations. Additionally, you will verify insurance eligibility and benefits, obtain necessary forms, and coordinate with outside facilities for imaging or referrals. You will work assigned EMR “buckets” (e.g., No Show, Reschedule, Missing Slips) and support clinical staff with documentation and follow-through. You will also assist with daily cash drawer reconciliation, deposits, and billing charge entry to ensure accurate end-of-day financial reporting.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in a medical office or clinical setting
  • Strong customer service skills and a patient-centered approach
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and EMR systems (Epic a plus)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and discretion with patient information

  • Experience with front office leadership, financial reconciliation, and insurance verification preferred
