About The Position

Sodexo is seeking a Patient Services Manager to lead food service operations at UMass North Pavilion in Worcester, MA. This role will oversee a team of 19 frontline associates and supervisors, ensuring exceptional patient dining experiences while supporting clinical and operational excellence. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership, healthcare food service experience, and a passion for patient satisfaction. This role offers a consistent schedule with no late nights and every 3rd weekend rotation.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of customer service leadership experience required (healthcare or food service preferred)
  • Proven ability to lead and develop frontline teams in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with patients, families, and clinical staff
  • Passion for delivering excellent patient and customer service aligned with Sodexo CARES behaviors
  • Working knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and regulatory compliance
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with strong organizational skills

Nice To Haves

  • Prior Sodexo experience strongly preferred
  • Healthcare food service and patient services experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the Patient Dining Program, ensuring high-quality meal service and patient satisfaction
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 19 associates, fostering a positive and engaged work environment
  • Conduct daily patient rounding and service recovery to enhance the overall patient experience
  • Collaborate with clinical teams, dietitians, and nursing staff to support patient dietary needs and satisfaction goals
  • Perform tray assessments to ensure food quality, presentation, and accuracy meet Sodexo standards
  • Drive compliance with HACCP, safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards
  • Support operational efficiencies, staffing plans, and training initiatives
  • Ensure successful audit readiness and participation in regulatory inspections
