Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Patient Services Manager to lead our Patient Services Team in an acute care hospital setting in Oceanside, NY. This role is responsible for overseeing patient dining operations, ensuring high levels of patient satisfaction, and maintaining compliance with clinical, operational, and regulatory standards.

Requirements

  • Associate degree with one (1) year of experience in food services or a related field or a Bachelor’s degree in Food Service Technology, Management, or a related discipline
  • Minimum of one (1) year of foodservice management experience, preferably in an acute care healthcare setting
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, electronic medical records (EMR), and diet office systems

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Dietary Manager (CDM), Registered Diet Technician (RDT), or Registered Dietitian (RD) preferred
  • ServSafe® Certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Establish goals and oversee the delivery of patient food services based on medical direction, therapeutic requirements, and patient population needs
  • Hire, lead, coach, train, and develop patient services team members to support a patient‑centered dining experience
  • Ensure compliance with diet orders, special and modified diets, and dietary restrictions while accommodating patient food preferences within clinical guidelines
  • Drive patient satisfaction by supporting service excellence and ensuring staff contributes to achieving patient experience goals
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards, including federal, state, and accrediting agencies, while adhering to facility confidentiality, HIPAA regulations, and patient rights policies
  • Participate in and/or lead patient satisfaction initiatives, departmental meetings, and facility‑wide Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) programs
