Under direct supervision, the Patient Services Coordinator is responsible for scheduling patient appointments and tests efficiently and timely, which may include outside scheduling and/or surgical scheduling. This role involves greeting patients and guests promptly, courteously, and professionally, serving as a liaison between patients and medical staff. The coordinator supports and adheres to the New York Oncology Hematology Compliance Program, including the Code of Ethics and Business Standards, and demonstrates an understanding of patient confidentiality to protect the patient and clinic/corporation, adhering to confidentiality, state, federal, and HIPAA laws and patient records guidelines. The role also requires upholding CORE values daily.
