About The Position

At PT Solutions Physical Therapy, the Patient Service Coordinator serves as a crucial link between patients, providers, and insurers, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and supportive care journey. This role involves managing key administrative and communication processes, including verifying insurance coverage, obtaining prior authorizations, coordinating physician referrals, and optimizing schedules to facilitate patient access to necessary care. This specific position is a Float role, requiring time to be split between two clinics located in Wesley Chapel and Lexington Oaks, Florida.

Requirements

  • At minimum, a High School or GED diploma (Submission of diploma for the highest level of education obtained will be required)
  • 1-2 years of customer service experience

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with healthcare preferred

Responsibilities

  • Reconcile patient payments and units billed while following HIPAA guidelines
  • Follow appropriate processes for Insurance Verification and/or benefits management
  • Obtain authorization and/or prior authorization
  • Over the counter collections and reconciliation of all charges weekly and monthly
  • Maintain relationships with patients, providers, clinicians, and internal operational departments
