About The Position

As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will assist our patients through the check-in and/or check-out process so they can have a positive and consistent experience from the moment they walk in the door. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) is a must.
  • At least one year of prior experience in a similar medical clinic position.
  • Sufficient manual dexterity for operating office equipment (keyboard, telephone, copier, etc.).
  • Adequate vision and hearing for viewing computer screens for prolonged periods and hearing customers during in-person and telephone conversations.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s degree in a business-related field.

Responsibilities

  • Greet and build rapport with patients while completing the check-in process in a timely manner.
  • Provide quick notification to clinical staff when a patient has arrived.
  • Provide red carpet customer service through willingness to ask appropriate questions to assess patient needs and provide necessary information, both on the phone and in person.
  • Collect copays and patient balances as necessary and provide receipts.
  • Coordinate with patients and clinical staff during the check-out process to provide convenient appointment scheduling in accordance with physician and/or office guidelines.
  • Navigate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and other medical office technology to effectively chart patient information and communicate with other staff members.
  • Keep the lobby and desk area tidy.
  • Assist with any additional tasks.
