About The Position

We are seeking a Patient Services Coordinator to support a high-volume healthcare front desk environment. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting, delivers exceptional customer service, and has experience handling patient interactions, insurance verification, and front-office operations.

Requirements

  • Minimum 1 year of healthcare experience
  • At least 18 months of customer service experience
  • Experience with insurance verification (understanding plan differences and communicating them clearly)
  • Experience collecting co-pays and patient balances
  • Strong interpersonal skills and emotional intelligence when working with patients

Nice To Haves

  • Front desk or patient-facing healthcare experience
  • Experience as a Patient Coordinator or similar role
  • Familiarity with systems such as Aria (radiation) or Athena (financial systems)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft tools (Teams, Outlook, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Greet and check in/out approximately 200+ patients daily in a professional and efficient manner
  • Verify patient insurance and ensure accuracy according to policies and procedures
  • Collect co-pays, outstanding balances, and process payments
  • Communicate effectively with patients regarding coverage, benefits, and financial responsibilities
  • Scan and maintain patient documentation in the system
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless patient experience
