As a Patient Services Coordinator, you will assist our patients through the check-in and/or check-out process so they can have a positive and consistent experience from the moment they walk in the door.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.) is a must.
  • At least one year of prior experience in a similar medical clinic position.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and MicroSoft (Outlook, Office Word, and Excel) required.
  • Must successfully complete required e-learning courses within 90 days of occupying position.

Nice To Haves

  • An associate’s degree in a business-related field would be even better!
  • Some receptionist or office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist patients through the check-in and/or check-out process.
  • Provide a positive first impression with an upbeat and helpful attitude.
  • Greet and build rapport with patients while completing the check-in process in a timely manner.
  • Provide quick notification to clinical staff when a patient has arrived.
  • Provide red carpet customer service through willingness to ask appropriate questions to assess patient needs and provide necessary information.
  • Collect copays and patient balances as necessary and provide receipt of payment.
  • Coordinate with patients and clinical staff to provide appointment scheduling during the check-out process.
  • Navigate Electronic Medical Record (EMR) systems and other medical office technology to chart patient information and communicate with staff.
  • Keep the lobby and desk area tidy.
  • Jump in and help out with any additional tasks.
