About The Position
Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Patient Service Specialist (PSS) to float between multiple outpatient clinics in the Austin, TX area. The role requires flexibility in hours, varying between Monday to Friday, 7 am to 7 pm. As a PRN employee, the candidate will travel to various locations including Far West, SW290, Bee Caves, Red River, W38th Street, Northcross, and Lakeway. The PRN rate is $21.00 per hour. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and capable of working both independently and collaboratively, providing outstanding customer service.
Requirements
- HS diploma or GED is required

Responsibilities
- Process referrals
- Schedule patients
- Complete the intake process

- Obtain authorizations
- Review benefits with patients

- Arrive and schedule patients
- Generate billing reports
- Generate closing reports
- Other tasks as needed
- Greets patients
- Answers phones
- Operates front office of outpatient centers
- Supports therapists and therapy assistants
- Daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
