About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Institute for Rehabilitation Irving, TX is seeking a Patient Service Specialist. Clinic hours are Monday - Friday 7 AM - 7 PM, and the candidate must be flexible to open or close if needed. This is a full-time position. Compensation depends upon the candidate’s years of experience and internal equity, with a starting salary of $18 - $25 per hour based on experience. The ideal candidate will be organized, adaptable, and able to work well with others or independently. Travel to other locations may be required. The role involves providing outstanding customer service and ensuring tasks are completed efficiently.

Requirements

• HS diploma or GED

Responsibilities

• Process referrals
• Schedule patients
• Complete the intake process
• Data entry
• Insurance verification
• Obtain authorizations
• Review benefits with patients
• Collect copays
• Arrive and schedule patients
• Generate billing reports
• Generate closing reports
• Perform other tasks as needed
• Greet patients
• Answer phones
• Operate the front office of outpatient centers
• Support therapists and therapy assistants
• Perform daily cash balancing and weekly banking deposits
