The role also involves printing superbills, checking out patients, providing necessary forms, scheduling follow-up appointments, collecting co-pays and balances, and posting patient payments. Additionally, the representative is responsible for answering multi-line phones, directing calls, scheduling appointments, documenting no-shows, and handling patient dismissal paperwork. Depending on the specific office site, duties may expand to reviewing account balances, explaining financial assistance options, completing medication assistance forms, obtaining pre-certification and prior authorization, typing correspondences for providers, and preparing colonoscopy packets. The position requires adherence to Johnson Memorial Health's Mission and Values, as well as compliance with all applicable laws, regulations, standards, and policies, including Blood and Body Substance Precautions. Additional duties may be assigned by the Practice Administrator or JMH executive leadership.
