The Practice Patient Services Representative is responsible for greeting, assisting and directing patients and their families through the appointment check in process. Assists with appointment scheduling, confirmations and ensures thorough and complete information is obtained to facilitate the appointment process. Interacts with providers, practice staff, and billing representatives. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills are required for superior customer service. This position will work primarily at our SOCPA Irvine office, with potential coverage of other SOCPA practice locations as needed. Requirements

  • Minimum of six (6) months of customer service, clerical or front office experience.
  • High School Diploma/ GED or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to handle interruptions in work-tasks due to greeting people and answering multi-phone lines.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, judgement with the ability to work harmoniously with others.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a medical practice, clinic or office setting.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) and practice management systems (scheduling/billing).
  • Some post High School education, to include Medical Office courses.
  • Medical terminology knowledge such as CPT & ICD10 coding.
  • Bilingual in English/ Spanish or English/Vietnamese.
  • Knowledge of scheduling software products and processes.
