The Patient Service Representative is responsible for assisting patients with kiosk usage, prioritizing emergency assistance, and ensuring timely and respectful handling of physician and nurse requests. This role involves accurately registering patients while providing excellent customer service, compassion, and kindness. Key duties include verifying patient information, communicating billing policies, collecting payments, and managing cash at the end of shifts. The representative will also handle correspondence, file and scan medical documents, complete assigned tasks, answer calls, and assist with other duties as delegated. A strong understanding of the electronic medical record system is essential, as is the ability to receive, move, and stock supplies, and maintain a clean work area. The role requires participation in staff meetings, flexibility to assist as needed (including potential interruptions to breaks and mealtimes), and proper operation of medical and office equipment. Fostering teamwork, maintaining a positive and professional atmosphere, and providing warm, friendly service are crucial. Adherence to all established policies and procedures is mandatory, along with completing any other directed duties.
