About The Position

Lumexa Imaging partner American Health Imaging has an entry-level Patient Service Representative role open in Mount Pleasant, South Carolina. We are looking for a customer-service focused candidate that is looking to excel in a medical office setting! This is a full-time role with a schedule of 10am-7pm with a 1-hour lunch break. From 10am-5pm, the role will involve assisting techs with patients, and from 5pm-7pm, the role will be responsible for closing the PSR at the front desk.

Requirements

• 1-4 Years Experience in Medical Office Setting or Hospital
• Ability to Handle Heavy Patient Volume
• Strong Customer Service and Computer Skills
• Ability to multi-task
• Medical Terminology Knowledge
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Team-oriented with a positive attitude

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Authorizations and Insurance Verification

Responsibilities

• Schedule Patients for Diagnostic Exams and Procedures
• Assist with Authorization and Verifications
• Checking Patients In / Out
• Answering Multiple Phone Lines
• Provide Accurate and Complete Information to Billing Office
• Insurance Verification
• Ensure Accuracy of Patient Data Entered Into System
• Process Requests and Filing of Patient Records
• Assist technologists during contrast administration and patient care
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures
• Escort patients and provide pre-exam instructions
• Help patients on and off the imaging table
• Prepare exam rooms between patients
• Keep patient flow moving to help technologists stay on schedule
• Monitor schedules and communicate changes with the imaging team
• Provide excellent customer service throughout the patient experience
• Support front desk operations as needed
