About The Position

We’re hiring a Patient Service Representative to support a busy healthcare team in a fully remote role. You’ll be the first point of contact for patients handling calls, scheduling appointments, and guiding them through the care process. This is a fast-paced, phone-heavy position where accuracy, professionalism, and clear communication matter.

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in a healthcare setting, medical office, or call center
  • Strong customer service and phone communication skills
  • Experience scheduling appointments and managing patient information
  • Comfortable working in EMR systems (Epic or similar)
  • Able to handle a high volume of calls throughout the day
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Nice To Haves

  • Call center experience in a healthcare environment
  • Medical Assistant or CNA certification
  • Bilingual in Spanish
  • You enjoy helping people and staying organized under pressure
  • You’re comfortable working on the phone most of the day
  • You follow processes but can also think through solutions independently
  • You’re reliable, flexible with scheduling, and open to learning

Responsibilities

  • Answer high-volume inbound calls from patients and providers
  • Schedule, reschedule, and cancel appointments across multiple providers
  • Verify and update patient information in EMR systems (including Epic)
  • Provide clear instructions for exams, labs, and appointment prep
  • Check and communicate referral and authorization status
  • Respond to requests via phone, email, and fax quickly and accurately
  • Route complex questions to the right internal teams
