The Patient Service Representative will greet patients and visitors, analyze health insurance benefits, verify insurance eligibility, and explain payment policies. They will maintain the reception area, perform clerical tasks, collect patient financial responsibilities, and support the practice manager and physicians. This role involves obtaining patient history, enforcing healthcare regulations, documenting Electronic Medical Records (EMR), and ensuring HIPAA and OSHA compliance. The representative may also travel to other Piedmont Urgent Care locations and perform other assigned duties. The Unit Secretary responsibilities include maintaining clinical standards, adhering to company policies, fostering positive communication, administering patient-focused healthcare, acting as a patient advocate, initiating patient education, protecting patient confidentiality, maintaining clinical documentation, accurately documenting patient care in EMR, utilizing company resources efficiently, restocking supplies and medications, participating in quality improvement activities, and ensuring compliance with regulatory training. They will also manage worker's compensation statuses, handle patient and pharmacy consultations, dispense medications, accept payments, and maintain medication stock and sales averages.
