About The Position

Be the welcoming face of exceptional patient care. Raleigh Medical Group. PA is seeking a friendly, organized, and customer-focused Patient Service Representative (PSR) to join our Dermatology team. As the first point of contact for our patients, you'll play a vital role in creating a positive patient experience by providing outstanding customer service while supporting patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, payment collection, and front office operations. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Basic computer proficiency with the ability to learn electronic health record (EHR).
  • Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA requirements

Nice To Haves

  • One (1) year of experience in a medical office, physician practice, or healthcare customer service environment.
  • Experience with patient registration, appointment scheduling, insurance verification, and payment collection.
  • Experience using electronic health record (EHR) and practice management systems.
  • Basic knowledge of medical terminology

Responsibilities

  • Greet and assist patients and visitors in a professional and welcoming manner.
  • Register patients and verify demographic and insurance information.
  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
  • Collect copays, deductibles, outstanding balances, and other patient payment.
  • Verify insurance eligibility and assist with referral and authorization processes.
  • Answer incoming phone calls and route inquiries appropriately.
  • Complete patient check-in and checkout processes accurately and efficiently.
  • Scan and maintain patient documentation within the electronic health record (EHR).
  • Assist patients with registration forms, patient portal access, and required documentation.
  • Collaborate with providers, clinical staff, billing, and other departments to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Manage office supply ordering, maintenance requests, and operational support tickets
  • Cross-train within front office functions and provide coverage as needed.
  • Support departmental initiatives and perform additional duties as assigned.
