About The Position

HealthySkin Dermatology is hiring a Full Time Patient Service Representative for their Tucson, AZ clinic. This role is ideal for individuals who are ready to make an impact every day and thrive in a fast-paced environment. The Patient Service Representative is responsible for managing the patient check-in process, updating patient personal and insurance information in the computer system, operating a multi-line phone system, handling medical records filing and maintenance, and collecting co-pays and cash payments.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required
• Proficient in basic computer functions
• Ability to learn new software quickly
• Excellent customer service, communication and organizational skills
• Ability to operate standard office equipment
• Attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize appropriately, and work well both individually and as part of a team
• Ability to respond positively to constructive feedback and direction from supervisors
• Must demonstrate professional appearance and manner at all times
• Must display a friendly, cheerful, tactful, and polite demeanor, and must be compassionate and caring in dealing with others
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of information

Nice To Haves

• 1+ years of recent medical office experience or in a similar capacity is preferred
• Ability to type a minimum of 40 wpm is preferred

Responsibilities

• Performs opening and closing clinic duties
• Greets patients, checks in for appointments and verifies insurance
• Scans documents into electronic health record
• Maintains tidiness of waiting area and reception counter throughout the day
• Checks schedules for added, canceled and no-show appointments throughout the day
• Schedules follow up appointments as needed
• Responds to designated tasks in the electronic health record
• Orders clinic office supplies
• Sells and tracks cosmetic products
• Distributes mail
• Prepares for next day scheduled appointments
